This characters name is Senju Taigai, he has an interesting back story that was created while I was cooking pancakes, Taigai family is tied to the Konoha founding family, the Senju clan. Back when Shodai lead the clan and it was known as Senju Forest Clan before he teamed up with Uchiha Madera. Shodai and his younger brother, Nadaime belonged to the main branch of the Senju clan while Taigai's forefather was one of the side branches. (I believe he was like a cousin to Shodai and Nidaime.) Anyhow, when Shodai sought to converge the clan with the Uchiha's some of the families where firmly against him and decided to leave ;the leaving members never knew that Shodai and Madera would go on and create the Village of the Hidden Leaf; their travels took them to the Earth kingdom where they mixed into the population. Some, like Taigai's family still retained the family name of Senju. Taigai was born about 50 years after the family split to commemorate this, his name means "foreign" or "outside of"

During the War with the Fire Country, after seeing the devastation caused to both sides the young Taigai , after learning of his ansetery in the Fire Country, tried to get into contact with the Senju clan that was in Konoha, not able to get into contact with anyone he then contacted the current Hokage, Sarutobi. Making an secret alliance with the student of his former clans man, Taigai, and some remaining clans men began to enact in a campaign of gorilla warfare against their own country, lessening the over all combative effectiveness of the Earth Country, and spreading out its forces. These acts helped end the war on neutral grounds for both countries.

Now officially labeled a criminal against the Earth State, and having a sizable bounty for him listed in the bingo book, he fled to the Konoha, where he was given legal amnesty by the 3rd.
His only remaining relative in Konoha was Tsunade, though she hardly acknowledged him as her relative when the 3rd brought it up. She saw him as a "Hidden Earth Jounin" and secretly blamed him for her lover's death. She later leaves with Shizune to pursue her gambling addiction. Feeling guilty about it Taigai secretly begins to pay off her gambling debts as well as be her bank roll during this time *though sometimes she would fight for money*

Currently at the age of 54 he is employed to the archive division working with case reports presented by different teams "boring paper work" he calls it

Ps: he doesn't need the cane, he's still about as strong as Jiraiya, but he thinks the cane makes him stylish.
